Ok so MyPocast. was doing some work and the whole site kind of went blamo! but hey its back now so THANKS GUYS!! I am trying a new thing this week. A phone review of a beer. Our pub (www.fiddlershearth.com) is pretty proud of being one of the few places in Austin, TX (if not the only place) where you can't get a Budweiser. So we went to Lunar... go figure LOL The beer was great as always. I had a few pints of this and that and they were all good. The Hooch is stil on tap and better than every. Hello Brad! When the Belgian-owned Brewery Ommegang decided to put out a special beer called "Obamagang," the government stepped in to say "No way." The special single-batch brew was made to coincide with the presidential inauguration of Barack Obama. However, the feds at the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau said it is not permissible to use anyone's name or likeness for commercial purposes without their permission. and now our regular links! Ommegang will donate a percentage of sales to charities in the respective cities where the beer is sold. "The [government] won't let us call the beer Obamagang on the keg label. So it will be known legally as 'Inauguration Ale 2009', but the tap handles will be more ... um ... direct," Ommegang said in a press statement. The style lies between a porter and stout, with a bit of Kriek and a touch of chocolate blended in.

2008 was a pretty good year ehre at the Murphy's We had a lot of great beer and went to a lot of great beer places. Coming next pubcast we will have a remote review from a listener. Ok so I had a new beer it was Way Good! Old Viscosity from Port Brewing.. Good stuff man We went to a new place near us. The Taphouse and Grill. Mark the owner was there and we got to talk to him. He is a very nice guy with lots of beer knowledge. 40 beers on tap that will rotate through out the year. Rafael (we think that is how he spells it) was the bartender. He was awesome. This place definately earns to big thumbs up from us! The food is way good!
