Well this week I go on about the pork dinner from last weeks pubcast plus dinner with friends and the discovery of beer.

I happend to find at a friends house a beer I took to them last year. It was an Edmund Fitzgerald Porter that had aged for a year in their fridge.
Man was it good.

Plus there is talk about gift packs, wine and I answer my first email on the air.

Thanks for coming by and check the show notes at

Howdy! Gig em Aggies!!
I know you are a beer guru, but you mentioned Port wines. I know that my mom loves Port wines and prefers Ruby over Tawny which has to do with the casket they are aged in. If your listeners are ever looking for a good, inexpensive Port, Taylor has a great one which I like for the flavor and color.

Thanks also for mentioning Shiner beer. I don't hear much about it in these parts and it really reminds me of college days..

O, and I'm glad you liked dinner....I did really like the cheese grits!!!! According to my mom, it's a traditional family recipe using garlic and jalepeno Cheeses and lots of eggs...great stuff! LOVED IT! And the husband used Coors light for the beer in the smoked turkey....
